Hearing from God is something I’ve been learning and developing over the years. But in 2022, I finally started to pay attention and fine-tune my spiritual hearing.
What I’ve learned so far is that God speaks to each of us in unique ways. For me, He often speaks through dreams and visions. Sometimes, while praying, I suddenly see an image, a name, or a situation in my mind and I know the Holy Spirit is guiding me.
There are moments when I’m praying and the Holy Spirit takes over, leading me to say things I didn’t plan. This happens so often now, and I’ve realized why: it’s because I spend time in the Word.
Most of what God reveals to me connects to Scriptures I’ve read before. His voice often echoes His Word — it’s gentle, consistent, and full of truth.
If you’ve been wondering how God might speak to you, remember this: He’s already speaking. The more you fill your heart with His Word, the more you’ll recognize His voice.
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 (NIV)
